Who we are

Firmwatch helps businesses monitor UK companies and receive alerts about relevant Companies House changes.

Data we collect

We may collect:

  • account details such as your name, email address, and password hash
  • organisation and team information you add inside the product
  • portfolio data, including monitored company numbers and names
  • alert preferences, billing status, and customer support messages
  • technical logs needed to operate, secure, and improve the service

How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • create and secure your account
  • monitor the companies you ask us to monitor
  • send alert emails, digests, billing notices, and support replies
  • prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and maintain service reliability
  • understand product issues and improve the service

Lawful basis

We process account and operational data because it is necessary to provide the service you request. We may also process limited technical and security data under our legitimate interests in running a secure SaaS product.

Processors we use

Firmwatch relies on third-party providers to operate the service, including:

  • Neon for database hosting and authentication
  • Resend for outbound email delivery
  • Vercel for application hosting and scheduled jobs
  • Stripe for subscription billing, when billing is enabled
  • Sentry for error monitoring, if enabled in production

Retention

We keep customer data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where necessary for security, billing, legal compliance, or dispute handling.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data. Contact us if you want to make one of these requests.
